The Sohagi Law Group was established in 2006 to provide outstanding legal services in all areas of land use, municipal, government law, and environmental law, including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), federal and state clean air acts, the Coastal Act, and Endangered Species Act (ESA). Prominent Los Angeles firm, representing public agency clients, specializing in land use and environmental law including CEQA, NEPA, air quality and climate change, planning and zoning, and related issues is currently seeking:


Highly-skilled CEQA practitioner with 6 years or more experience and superior transactional and/or litigation skills. Must have current experience reviewing complex technical environmental documents for legal defensibility.


Highly-motivated associate with 3-6 years of relevant legal experience. Will also consider candidates with 1-2 years of experience with a degree Land Use Planning or related technical degree (e.g., environmental sciences). Candidate should have strong academic credentials, excellent writing skills, exceptional attention to detail, and familiarity with local governmental land use/zoning processes. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with a variety of land use issues, including general plans, specific plans, use permits, and development agreements, as well as a good working knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Relevant litigation experience, as well as experience with other municipal and environmental laws, a major plus. Congenial working environment with competitive salary and excellent benefits.
