ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Job Description
The Sohagi Law Group, a boutique law firm located in West Los Angeles, is seeking an attorney with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in land use and environmental law, or civil litigation experience coupled with a background in science or engineering, to represent our public agency clients in land use and environmental law including CEQA, NEPA, air quality and climate change, planning and zoning, and related issues. We are interested in finding the right-fit person to join us for long-term growth. The candidate must be highly motivated with a high level of dedication and commitment to providing excellent client service.

Qualifications/Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA Accredited law school
- Active California Bar License
- Strong academic credentials
- Exceptional writing and research abilities
- Strong oral communication skills
- Substantive transactional experience
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and to lead projects to completion
- Familiarity with local government land use/zoning processes
Preferred
- One to six years of substantive land use/environmental experience including CEQA, NEPA and other environmental protection and planning/zoning laws
- Relevant litigation experience
- Relevant experience with other municipal and environmental laws
- Undergraduate degree in planning, engineering or sciences
- Experience with a variety of land use issues, including general plans, specific plans, use permits, and development agreements
