Matt, an associate that The Sohagi Law Group represents public agencies throughout the state in land use issues. In addition to reviewing EIRs for development projects, he has directly assisted with cannabis regulation, drafted development agreements for retail and residential projects, and assisted staff with vital surface/groundwater issues. Matt has served as the primary advisor to a county planning commission.
Prior to joining The Sohagi Law Group, Matt also represented school districts and is also familiar with the various requirements regarding contracting and public works. He also worked with the Western States Petroleum Association as an intern, gaining vital experience into compliance with AB 32—the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Matt was a ski instructor for a resort in Northern Nevada. In his spare time, he enjoys walking his dog, cooking, Crossfit, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
